An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Inocencio Oinatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. But to his dismay, Alberto Bidun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Bidun was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Bidun came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute of the match Set Fire got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robbie Ridliwan ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Alberto Bidun managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 70 minutes into the match, Set Fire's goalkeeper Inocencio Oinatz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inocencio Oinatz came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 76th minute. Set Fire made a substitution. Jack McCrindle replaced Alberto Bidun. Inocencio Oinatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Set Fire's Jack McCrindle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
