Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Vincente Abella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Internacional's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Alonso Berganza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vincente Abella quite easily take care of the ball. Vincente Abella came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Luz Tejedor. But to his dismay, Luz Tejedor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vincente Abella was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of play forced Internacional's goalkeeper Vincente Abella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Peru booed when Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuelo Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincente Abella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincente Abella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vincente Abella. That made the score 3-0 after 34 minutes of play. Internacional's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Julian Murillo 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Internacional's Vincente Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rocendo Abar made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Rocendo Abar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. Rocendo Abar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. In the 59th minute, Segundo Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Prats. 71 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Rocendo Abar came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincente Abella saved Internacional from getting behind. 78 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mina notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Internacional's Vincente Abella. Vincente Abella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Victor Abeita in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Milagros Fraga. 85 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Internacional's Vincente Abella. Vincente Abella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Internacional's Vincente Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 94th minute of play. Peru's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
