Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Xusto Lasquibar kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Hector Hickman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Cotilla having to make a save. After 95 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. The Resistencia Tayrona FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Panama's performance. The match ended with a win for Panama.
