After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. René Švéda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Jirout in the 13th minute. In the 21st minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Švéda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michal Božek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Božek went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Axel Tasis put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of René Švéda. The crowd rose to their feet as Jiří Dusil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-2 in the 31 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Švéda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pardubice Hurricanes booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Pardubice Hurricanes's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but René Švéda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. René Švéda was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the game, Jaromír Nosek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pardubice Hurricanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. A collision led to Pardubice Hurricanes getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jaromír Nosek hit a great ball. After 82 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pardubice Hurricanes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrik Jirout's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Michal Božek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Patrik Jirout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pardubice Hurricanes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Costa Rica's performance. The match ended with a win for Costa Rica.
