Felippe Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. El Cementerio's Felippe Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Timoteo Fix tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felippe Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Urre was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Distiratsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silvestre Urre was slow to take the kick. During this time El Cementerio's players had a chance to rest. Felippe Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Felippe Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felippe Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
