Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paul Mersø started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Jack Myers got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinnie Small showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinnie Small was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinnie Small saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinnie Small prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre Whittingham charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre Whittingham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pierre Whittingham hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Vinnie Small didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Vinnie Small reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinnie Small. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Francesco Fabregas's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francesco Fabregas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Martyn Lawson got a free kick in the 45th minute. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Vinnie Small played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinnie Small having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Vinnie Small made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinnie Small. Clapham Comets F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agustín Saelices was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vinnie Small. That made the score 0-6 after 62 minutes of play. Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luis Andino 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Luis Andino had several of the Clapham Comets F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Vinnie Small as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cristian Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Vinnie Small skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristian Sancho scored 0-9 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinnie Small, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Mersø, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Robert Thorne got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clapham Comets F.C. the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
