The supporters of São Paulo da Floresta booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Mariano made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by São Paulo da Floresta's Epifanio Cebrian. 14 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's Luís Paulo Linhares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Jacinto having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Linhares in the 19th minute of the match. São Paulo da Floresta were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Epifanio Cebrian took the corner. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Linhares in the 36th minute of play. Bem Bom kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Bernard Sierocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo José Lucas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Paulo José Lucas hit a great ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Luís Paulo Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Paulo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Paulo Linhares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the game, Bernard Sierocki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Paulo da Floresta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 73 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Sierocki. Venezuela's attentive Salvador Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Bem Bom made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Teodoro Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of play forced São Paulo da Floresta's goalkeeper Teodoro Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Bem Bom. Bem Bom made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Paulo Linhares. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
