Manolis Lianopoulos came out and tried to block the shot, but Isidoro Sarmiento slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Panama's Tomas Berganza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manolis Lianopoulos. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. Olympiacos FC's Manolis Lianopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Olympiacos FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Vaggelis Manousakis hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolis Lianopoulos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympiacos FC's goalie prevented a goal. Manolis Lianopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Manolis Lianopoulos. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. With an all-out effort, Panama's Manolis Lianopoulos threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 40 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Manolis Lianopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manolis Lianopoulos. Manolis Lianopoulos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-1. 47 minutes into the game, Panama's Abraham Alguacil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manolis Lianopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giannis Moustopoulos to make the kick off. Manolis Lianopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Olympiacos FC defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manolis Lianopoulos. The Olympiacos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manolis Lianopoulos should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Panama booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lakis Karkabasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Omiros Psomiadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Abraham Alguacil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manolis Lianopoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-1. Manolis Lianopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 minutes of play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil made it 11-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manolis Lianopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abraham Alguacil took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manolis Lianopoulos. Manolis Lianopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-1. 82 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Manolis Lianopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 84th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Manolis Lianopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-1. Manolis Lianopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolis Lianopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Cambeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolis Lianopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Cambeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Manolis Lianopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Moustopoulos hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Manolis Lianopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Panama were the better team. Panama's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
