Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Noe in the 59th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Igor Lebas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierluigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonio Tenorio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
