The corner was taken by Hisham Omar in the 11th minute. Hisham Omar made a great header on €FSAN€17's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Ahmet Reha Tekgül's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Reha Tekgül helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when €FSAN€17 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Reha Tekgül didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vahit Baysan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of €FSAN€17 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see €FSAN€17's Hisham Omar in action when he in the 22nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of €FSAN€17 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Ahmet Orhan Tuyan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in €FSAN€17's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahadır Çile came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahadır Çile didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hisham Omar couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahit Baysan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ahmet Orhan Tuyan came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the €FSAN€17 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Orhan Tuyan couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vahit Baysan went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Yahya Özan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Orhan Tuyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of €FSAN€17 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hisham Omar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
