Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Martín Ulloa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Benavides narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juan Benavides in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 6th minute, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Humberto Escobar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Escalona got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillermo Escalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Juan Benavides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Escobar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martín Ulloa in the 19th minute of the match. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Giancarlo Mora in the 20th minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Giancarlo Mora sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Humberto Escobar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Juan Benavides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Humberto Escobar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Humberto Escobar really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Escobar got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Giancarlo Mora who took care of the corner kick. Juan Benavides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Escobar in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Humberto Escobar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Benavides was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 63 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Juan Benavides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Escalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Humberto Escobar. But to his dismay, Humberto Escobar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Benavides having to make a save. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Juan Benavides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Humberto Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Escobar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Escobar during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Escobar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Benavides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 99th minute. When the referee ended the match the ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
