But to his dismay, Daniel Järvenperä quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 16 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Colombia's Axel Montenegro fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 22 minutes of play, MDQ Raptors FC's Daniel Järvenperä made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosme Francesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afanasiy Mozolin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Venceslao's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, one of MDQ Raptors FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MDQ Raptors FC.

Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Godoi in the 53rd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Järvenperä made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 55th minute of play forced MDQ Raptors FC's goalkeeper Cosme Francesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Afanasiy Mozolin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. The supporters of Colombia booed when MDQ Raptors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. A collision led to MDQ Raptors FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hortêncio Godoi hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Abram Secada took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Cosme Francesco to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Ursino, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Cosme Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 74th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Afanasiy Mozolin came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
