Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Velez sarsfield from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 19th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. After a good free kick, Santino Seco got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Velez sarsfield. In the 42nd minute, Qin Kun Xi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Narciso Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Montenegro in the 62nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Joshua Garrido managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Axel Montenegro succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Velez sarsfield made a substitution. Walter Pico replaced Qin Kun Xi. After 70 minutes, Abram Secada made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Narciso Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Carballar in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Emil Zbytniewski hit a great ball. Joshua Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Pico went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Joshua Garrido hit a great ball. When Velez sarsfield's Walter Pico in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colombia's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Santino Seco got a free kick in the 90th minute. Walter Pico struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez sarsfield. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
