Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kepa Arrizabalaga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play forced ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attentive Efraim Gilabert managed to snatch the ball when Doriva Vaz made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Ronaldinho Gaucho scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 27 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldinho Gaucho. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Kepa Arrizabalaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kepa Arrizabalaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kepa Arrizabalaga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes in the game Doriva Vaz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ging Root. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Ronaldinho Gaucho sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Doriva Vaz in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. In the 65th minute, Milagros Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Guedes in the 67th minute of the match. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kepa Arrizabalaga having to interfere. Doriva Vaz got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ging Root. 77 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Arthur Guedes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Kepa Arrizabalaga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kepa Arrizabalaga, 2-1. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. If Rafael Gallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arthur Guedes went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
