Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qin Kun Xi in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Velez sarsfield were awarded a corner. Fabio Regis went to the cornerflag to take it. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Narciso Frechoso came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Anthony Alvarado threw the ball into play from the sideline. Velez sarsfield's Emil Zbytniewski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Benjamin Orixe kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With his leg Narciso Frechoso managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fabio Regis struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez sarsfield. Peru's Efraim Gilabert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alejo Larra, made in the 27th minute of the game. Julian Murillo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Narciso Frechoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Velez sarsfield from getting a goal against them. Narciso Frechoso was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qin Kun Xi in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Qin Kun Xi was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Velez sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Zbytniewski to maneuver through the defense. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of play. Narciso Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 56th minute of play. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Regis came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Velez sarsfield defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Frechoso. The Velez sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Frechoso should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Peru booed when Velez sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Zbytniewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narciso Frechoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Narciso Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 71st minute of play. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Frechoso. Narciso Frechoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Narciso Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 78th minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Alejo Larra kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Narciso Frechoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Velez sarsfield's zone, Antonio Tenorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Frechoso came out of the goal and Antonio Tenorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 95th minute. Walter Pico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Velez sarsfield for a fine match.
