Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Michelangelo Menduni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 3rd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Orlandus came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prato Valera's Michelangelo Menduni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michelangelo Menduni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Emiliano Zulli sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on Prato Valera's corner Aldo Novella fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Michelangelo Menduni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvise Sisti got free with Julio Vera in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alvise Sisti sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michelangelo Menduni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced Prato Valera's goalkeeper Michelangelo Menduni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvise Sisti in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Prato Valera's Michelangelo Menduni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. After 38 played minutes Prato Valera got a freekick which was hit by Armando Scibilia. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvise Sisti. Michelangelo Menduni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvise Sisti in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Prato Valera getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fabio Borrelli hit a great ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alvise Sisti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michelangelo Menduni having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Sisti in the 72nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Michelangelo Menduni made a huge save. In the 81st minute Alvise Sisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Michelangelo Menduni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Alvise Sisti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvise Sisti during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alvise Sisti hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
