The supporters of San Antonio HotSPURS booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Donio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute. Cesar Donio was a little too slow when Lautaro Mancebo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Donio made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. San Antonio HotSPURS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Macos Graciani fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cesar Donio quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cesar Donio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonso Snider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Snider in the 31st minute of play. Alonso Snider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 played minutes San Antonio HotSPURS got a freekick which was hit by Weldon Gibbs. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Leroy Vega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Antonio HotSPURS and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Leroy Vega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesar Donio. Cesar Donio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 64 minutes into the match, Antonio Corley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antonio Corley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonso Snider in the 66th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the San Antonio HotSPURS defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Donio. The San Antonio HotSPURS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Donio should have stopped the shot. San Antonio HotSPURS's Cary Wright was substituted for Stewart Pritchard. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Antonio HotSPURS made a substitution. Stefanos Kassanos replaced Jarod Davison. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Corley in the 79th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Corley in the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Corley got free with Dante Lacasa in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute of play forced San Antonio HotSPURS's goalkeeper Cesar Donio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Corley went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. San Antonio HotSPURS's Micah Alston was substituted for Antonio Corley. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Mexico lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
