Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 16th minute of play. Guaberto Gamus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Panama booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Márcio de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Alguacil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto Gamus. Bandeca FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bandeca FC's attentive Hugo Ribeiro managed to snatch the ball when Matthew Garrido made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dylan Sarmiento during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guaberto Gamus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Miralles in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bandeca FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Mota made a kick off. The supporters of Panama booed when Bandeca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Guaberto Gamus, passed just outside the right post. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Mota in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Bandeca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Salles to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Igor Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Igor Mota came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bandeca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Mota couldn't finish the play.
