Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Laerte Bezerra started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Valério Toledo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-0. Sergio Rengifo came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Jacinto having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodoro Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Jacinto. São Paulo da Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 38th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, São Paulo da Floresta's Sergio Rengifo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Bezerra in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, São Paulo da Floresta's Sergio Rengifo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, São Paulo da Floresta's Juan Duarte got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to São Paulo da Floresta getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Murillo Monteiro hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Epifanio Cebrian charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 84th match minute, São Paulo da Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Jacinto. Teodoro Jacinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing São Paulo da Floresta to leave the ground with a draw.
