The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Betão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romon Oliver in the 5th minute of play. But to his dismay, Romon Oliver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. David Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Demonde Jacobson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 20 de Março FC. 17 minutes into the game, David Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 20 de Março FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamaica the free kick. David Soeiro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Betão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarell Hill in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Karlus Waugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romon Oliver hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Finlay Stair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betão de Moraes. 20 de Março FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Finlay Stair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 32nd minute Jarell Hill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karlus Waugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão de Moraes having to interfere. Leron Sale might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Betão de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leron Sale ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Romon Oliver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamaica's supporters rose to their feet, but Romon Oliver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betão de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finlay Stair, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Finlay Stair came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Jamaica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Finlay Stair couldn't finish the play. Betão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finlay Stair in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Soeiro to make the kick off. When Javan Develder fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Javan Develder a yellow card for diving instead. 58 minutes into the game, one of Jamaica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 63rd match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leron Sale to maneuver through the defense. 20 de Março FC's David Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The tension between the 20 de Março FC and the Jamaica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, 20 de Março FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Toledo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 71st minute of play forced 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Betão de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save 20 de Março FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlus Waugh in the 91st minute of play forced 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Betão de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamaica played a much better game than 20 de Março FC and deserved their victory. The 20 de Março FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
