Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elpidio Vitin came out and tried to block the shot, but Axel Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 7th minute. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Elpidio Vitin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Sarmiento got free with Elpidio Vitin in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elpidio Vitin came out and tried to block the shot, but Abram Sarmiento slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 11th minute. Nicolas Roland took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Cristian Naike might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Naike ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Naike went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Cristian Naike came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Naike couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Naike in the 28th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Cristian Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolas Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Naike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41st minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Pascual Carballar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Carballar. After 46 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Napier.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Naike to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Severo Maule reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-6. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Colombia's Axel Montenegro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guido Luzaide, made in the 56th minute of the game. Elpidio Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Benicio Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Roland. In the 65th minute, Cristian Naike reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-8. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Cristian Naike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Cristian Naike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Vitin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Naike in the 75th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Nicolas Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-9 became the score in the 82nd minute when Guido Luzaide elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cristian Naike could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Cristian Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Luzaide hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Elpidio Vitin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of play. The Vélez Juniors players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
