With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when John Forsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academia D3c3bal FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by John Forsberg in the 15th minute. The corner ended in John Forsberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Nechifor Baștină showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Academia D3c3bal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nechifor Baștină reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolae Diaconu got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 26 played minutes Academia D3c3bal FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Diaconu. Codrin Dersidan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Nechifor Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Lucrețiu Oloieru hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nechifor Baștină read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Codrin Dersidan hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Academia D3c3bal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Stoicescu to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Baștină made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute. After 63 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Academia D3c3bal FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Baștină had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. After having played for 71 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nechifor Baștină made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Academia D3c3bal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Hogaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia D3c3bal FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Baștină, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Nechifor Baștină. Academia D3c3bal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Academia D3c3bal FC's Lucrețiu Oloieru got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Baștină narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia D3c3bal FC.
