Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Nicolas Roland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 88th minute, Eliseo Mina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elpidio Vitin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Despite this Elpidio Vitin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Peru walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
