The Parque Europa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Täger should have stopped the shot. Luis Täger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canada were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Parque Europa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Koby Wright took the corner. 21 minutes into the game, one of Parque Europa FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute, Koby Wright ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Täger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Reyes in the 25th minute of the match. Luka Harris kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Froilan Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jax Williamson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 35th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Rohan Watson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Luis Täger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Froilan Reyes made the kick off in the second half.
