The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victoriano Horado was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Horado saved Devoto club social from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced Devoto club social's goalkeeper Victoriano Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Devoto club social's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Horado came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devoto club social's Victoriano Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 16th minute of play. Victoriano Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 17th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Gartzen in the 19th minute. Julio Vera was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Venancio Brion capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Venancio Brion really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Victoriano Horado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmacio Tuste's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Tuste helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Devoto club social getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dalmacio Tuste hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Victoriano Horado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venancio Brion to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Dalmacio Tuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Victoriano Horado, passed just outside the right post. In the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Victoriano Horado in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Brion came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Devoto club social's Venancio Brion. But to his dismay, Venancio Brion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, Devoto club social's Victoriano Horado got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Devoto club social's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victoriano Horado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through Devoto club social's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victoriano Horado. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Devoto club social was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Tuste to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Gartzen took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Devoto club social made a substitution. David Martinez replaced Eleuterio Tximitx. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Victoriano Horado to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
