Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Odisio in the 12th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AC Roma were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvaro Sforza took the corner. Cristoforo Brillante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 15th minute of play. Cristoforo Brillante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after AC Roma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Axel Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristoforo Brillante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30th minute Alvaro Sforza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Odisio came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 38th minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Brillante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Horia Nasta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Brillante having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Cristoforo Brillante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Sforza in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Sforza in the 54th minute of play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristoforo Brillante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristoforo Brillante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Cristoforo Brillante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Secada, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Sforza in the 76th minute of play. Cristoforo Brillante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Secada's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Alvaro Sforza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Odisio, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
