Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mátyás Lisztes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mátyás Lisztes. Mátyás Lisztes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 19th minute, Daniel Zorita had to leave the field with a concussion. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. In the 20th minute, Csanád Újvári hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mátyás Lisztes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 25th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felix Montenegro in the 26th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mátyás Lisztes quite easily take care of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mátyás Lisztes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mátyás Lisztes. Szolnoki MÁV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Csanád Újvári hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Lisztes having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Szolnoki MÁV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felix Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes managed to reach the ball for a save. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mátyás Lisztes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mátyás Lisztes stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Sancho came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 73 minute. 76 minutes into the game, Luz Palacio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mátyás Lisztes. Luz Palacio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mátyás Lisztes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Szolnoki MÁV from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Luz Palacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luz Palacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mátyás Lisztes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luz Palacio came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Palacio couldn't finish the play. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Emesto Muñagorri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Emesto Muñagorri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
