Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Lisztes having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Lajos Keresztesi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szolnoki MÁV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Lajos Keresztesi hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Lisztes having to interfere. Mátyás Lisztes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emesto Muñagorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Szolnoki MÁV's Roland Varga got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emesto Muñagorri in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 34th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 36th minute Roland Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Roland Varga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's Lajos Keresztesi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Mátyás Lisztes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Varga made a kick off. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mátyás Lisztes made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mátyás Lisztes came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Szolnoki MÁV's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mátyás Lisztes came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emesto Muñagorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Bálint Simon hit a great ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mátyás Lisztes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gedeon Csákvári hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes, Gedeon Csákvári mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szolnoki MÁV and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Sebastián Puig got free with Mátyás Lisztes in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Emesto Muñagorri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Szolnoki MÁV to leave the ground with a draw.
