In the 3rd minute, Zarco Lameiras made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarco Lameiras in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Zarco Lameiras came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarco Lameiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ademar Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Maia in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zarco Lameiras in the 32nd minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademar Azevedo saved Sporting Clube Patrício from getting behind. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarco Lameiras in the 39th minute of play. Ademar Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Vicente Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zarco Lameiras in the 44th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Maia in the 46th minute of play. Sporting Clube Patrício's Manuel Lages was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Pliego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube Patrício's Vicente Maia. But to his dismay, Vicente Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. In the 89th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. Olaf Brataniec charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olaf Brataniec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Sporting Clube Patrício players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
