Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. Tomas Illescas scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Infante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacob Barroso took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Francisco Infante successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 70th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Caiado in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Infante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lima Team had played much better football throughout.
