Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39th minute, Jerry Vallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Venegas came free, but Ronny Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerry Vallin charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Vallin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jerry Vallin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

After some careless play in the Hermanö Oilers defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronny Blom. The Hermanö Oilers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronny Blom should have stopped the shot. Ronny Blom was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Patricio Costa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patricio Costa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Blom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Bryngelsson in the 78th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Peter Bank was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hermanö Oilers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Peter Bank hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match.
