Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Saverio Matthew started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Övertorneå RK booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Harry Almqvist from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Julio Vera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Saverio Matthew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Almqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harry Almqvist. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vilgot Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes Övertorneå RK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilgot Palmquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Övertorneå RK's Saverio Matthew got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Saverio Matthew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Saverio Matthew put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Vilgot Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristian Tomasson in the 55th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vilgot Palmquist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute. In the 74th minute Harry Almqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vilgot Palmquist in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Övertorneå RK's Vilgot Palmquist got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Tomasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to Övertorneå RK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Pelle Sillén hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Övertorneå RK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
