The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Candido Piedra was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerónimo Molina. The wind increased when Gerónimo Molina made the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Candido Piedra having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Reyes during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Candido Piedra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Tenorio went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Candido Piedra came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. After 93 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Mina. Peru played a much better game than Altermundi FC and deserved their victory. The Altermundi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
