A wasted opportunity for Honduras. 26 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Hajdar Tofkić came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Cebrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 30th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hrustan Mulić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Hajdar Tofkić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 41st minute of play forced FC Smotančeri's goalkeeper Ismael Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hajdar Tofkić to make the kick off. A collision led to FC Smotančeri getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mauro Romero hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Cebrian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Smotančeri's Ismael Cebrian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Sebastian Villa sped through FC Smotančeri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ismael Cebrian. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hajdar Tofkić hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oma Smajlić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 96th minute of the match.
