Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delfim Paraense started the match with the kick off. Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 3rd minute of play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Ernesto Farias sent off a good shot on target. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ernesto Farias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Tobias Zachrisson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Melão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Zachrisson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Claudio-Paul Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Ernesto Farias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Ernesto Farias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabinho Valladares scored 3-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Inter de Melão getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gonçalo Mazza hit a great ball. With a little luck, Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Fabinho Valladares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Paraense in the 89th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabinho Valladares scored 6-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Inter de Melão players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
