Fedele Carnevale made a great header on FC Mims's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. 69 minutes into the match, FC Mims's goalkeeper Attilio Fiordelisi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Attilio Fiordelisi came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 74th minute Damiano Strazzabosco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ercole Trivelli's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ercole Trivelli helped the player get up and apologised. Ercole Trivelli hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Mims's Enrico Improta got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Mims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Trivelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Mims's Attilio Fiordelisi got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FC Mims fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
