Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Verner Ståhlberg started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes Stockholm IF got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Dalmau. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Qin Ting Peng. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Qin Ting Peng made a huge save. The supporters of Stockholm IF booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Qin Ting Peng made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Tafalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Qin Ting Peng quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Qin Ting Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of play. Qin Ting Peng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Roy Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qin Ting Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match, Verner Ståhlberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Qin Ting Peng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 66th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 67th minute. Verner Ståhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Ribeiro hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A collision led to Stockholm IF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jörn Bergfeldt hit a great ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Stockholm IF's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Qin Ting Peng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Hermengildo Dalmau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockholm IF and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Hermengildo Dalmau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qin Ting Peng having to interfere.
