Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Mims's Attilio Fiordelisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 13th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damiano Strazzabosco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Strazzabosco, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Attilio Fiordelisi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 26th minute, Macos Graciani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Fiordelisi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ermanno Ottavi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Attilio Fiordelisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of the match. When Elia Panella fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Mims's protests and gave Elia Panella a yellow card for diving instead. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Mims's goalie prevented a goal. Joel Gaona shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 49 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Mims's Attilio Fiordelisi. Attilio Fiordelisi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Damiano Strazzabosco made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Attilio Fiordelisi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Attilio Fiordelisi threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Strazzabosco, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 89th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Attilio Fiordelisi. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 91st minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Mims's Frank Di Meo got a free kick in the 96th minute. Lautaro Mancebos short, quick shot in the 100thth minute got Attilio Fiordelisi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The FC Mims fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
