Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Strazzabosco came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Attilio Fiordelisi could save by the left post. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Fiordelisi having to make a save. Damiano Strazzabosco scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attilio Fiordelisi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Attilio Fiordelisi, 1-2. After the first half FC Mims were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano Strazzabosco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Attilio Fiordelisi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Attilio Fiordelisi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Damiano Strazzabosco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-3 in the 55 minute of play. FC Mims's Enrico Improta was substituted for Elia Panella. 61 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Attilio Fiordelisi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Attilio Fiordelisi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of play. After 71 minutes FC Mims's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Attilio Fiordelisi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 74th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Damiano Strazzabosco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Damiano Strazzabosco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damiano Strazzabosco in the 82nd minute. When Frank Di Meo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Mims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Di Meo couldn't finish the play. The Mexico manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Mims to win.
