In the 13th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Qin Ting Peng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Nordström in the 19th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Stockholm IF got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hermengildo Dalmau ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Qin Ting Peng. That made the score 2-0 after 35 minutes of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Nordström in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Stockholm IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Verner Ståhlberg was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Stockholm IF's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Qin Ting Peng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qin Ting Peng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Qin Ting Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 61st minute of play. Mexico's Luca Zorita suffered a sore thigh after 63 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Facundo Cadaval might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qin Ting Peng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Facundo Cadaval ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Facundo Cadaval in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 78 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Nordström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Ståhlberg in the 85th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Qin Ting Peng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
