A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. 14 minutes into the match, Lakers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Paulão Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match El Salvador got a corner. Lakers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mateo Leguizamo ran over to the corner to take the kick. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulão Corrêa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Lakers FC's Álvaro Paiva got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Joshua Curbelo made in the 34th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abram Luque immediately put the ball in play. 45 minutes in the game Osvaldinho Santos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tiago Eger.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Paulão Corrêa made a huge save. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidnei Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Sidnei Branco took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Branco in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 70th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Moises Fernandino could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Paulão Corrêa however easily saved by the left post. In the 77th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Curbelo to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lakers FC's Álvaro Paiva got a free kick in the 84th minute. Lakers FC's Paulão Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Lakers FC from getting a goal against them.
