Erik Grøneng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kjønstad BF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. Pascual Carballar made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Kjønstad BF's Erik Grøneng managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Kjønstad BF's Edmílson Prata got a free kick in the 24th minute. Tolga Şakib helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The Colombia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
