Ahmed Diss's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. After 12 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC TOKIO's Tedj Djeziri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amine Larfaoui. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salim Skif during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salim Skif hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. FC TOKIO's Tedj Djeziri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC TOKIO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 23rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, FC TOKIO's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tedj Djeziri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Tedj Djeziri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Tedj Djeziri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 29th minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Tedj Djeziri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC TOKIO's Tedj Djeziri. Tedj Djeziri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anther Benflis in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, FC TOKIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmed Diss to maneuver through the defense. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tedj Djeziri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Tedj Djeziri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tedj Djeziri. The goal made the score 0-4. The FC TOKIO fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when FC TOKIO's Amine Larfaoui looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 79th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tedj Djeziri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Jean Sadaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC TOKIO. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than FC TOKIO and deserved their victory. The FC TOKIO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
