Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Laerte Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Lekubegi during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Encarale a la gordita's Sergio Lekubegi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Eusebio Edwardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laerte Messias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 94 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Encarale a la gordita.
