Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tervel Dushanov in the 3rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, EW® Leeds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chavdar Motekov to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 10 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikifor Ruzhekov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Kostadin Nenov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Uruguay's Francisco Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikifor Ruzhekov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Anatoli Filov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camilo Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikifor Ruzhekov having to interfere. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Nikifor Ruzhekov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in EW® Leeds's zone, Maximiliano Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikifor Ruzhekov came out of the goal and Maximiliano Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Slavi Dramov sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavi Dramov in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Tervel Dushanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anatoli Filov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tervel Dushanov was the one to do the kick off. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavi Dramov's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoli Filov in the 55th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Tervel Dushanov came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes in the game Jaime Cazalla did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Francisco Seco. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. Anatoli Filov had several of the Uruguay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Joaquin Gayoso as he didn't even see the shot coming. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nikifor Ruzhekov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. EW® Leeds's Nikifor Ruzhekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 80th minute of play. Anatoli Filov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute EW® Leeds were awarded a corner. Pavlin Mogilanski went to the cornerflag to take it. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Uruguay! Joaquin Gayoso had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Pavlin Mogilanski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 96 minutes, Tervel Dushanov made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
