Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Yan Vieira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Diguinho Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 3rd minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diguinho Toledo. Dínamo São Paulo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Arias charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Arias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diguinho Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diguinho Toledo. Diguinho Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Diguinho Toledo. Dínamo São Paulo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Vieira. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Vieira in the 36th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Dínamo São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Ivarsson.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Diguinho Toledo in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diguinho Toledo. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diguinho Toledo. That made the score 0-6 in the 65 minute of play. Diguinho Toledo made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. After 77 played minutes Dínamo São Paulo got a freekick which was hit by André Siqueira. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Diguinho Toledo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diguinho Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Diguinho Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Felix Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diguinho Toledo could save by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dínamo São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
