Efrain Moruga got a throw-in 6 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eliseo Noboa. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydemir Taha in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YuSuF the free kick. After some careless play in the YuSuF defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Batu Ceylan. The YuSuF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Batu Ceylan should have stopped the shot. After 24 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Batu Ceylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Batu Ceylan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Noboa went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Batu Ceylan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Batu Ceylan. Batu Ceylan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 64th minute, Eliseo Noboa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Batu Ceylan. The goal made the score 1-5. The supporters of YuSuF booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YuSuF the free kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Lautaro Puig fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliseo Noboa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Batu Ceylan. That made the score 1-6 in the 87 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Carballo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of YuSuF booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Costa Rica players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
