The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimierz Traczewski got free with Julio Vera in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Baykan Erincer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. Kazimierz Traczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Tribbiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baykan Erincer. Kazimierz Traczewski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baykan Erincer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kazimierz Traczewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kazimierz Traczewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Kazimierz Traczewski made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Traczewski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
