If Edward Mcdonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Eanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 6th minute of play forced Dionisia's goalkeeper Serafim Eanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Eanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Dionisia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Topolski to maneuver through the defense. Dionisia's Serafim Eanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Esiquio in the 20th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Dalmai got free with Marco Day in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Mauro Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Cassius Byrne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Serafim Eanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Garoa in the 38th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Dalmai came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, one of Dionisia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for USA. Cassius Byrne stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Serafim Eanes. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Dalmai to make the kick off. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Dalmai in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as USA's Monty Rogers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Serafim Eanes. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. Jenson Smith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Serafim Eanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisia made a substitution. Arnaldo Beturian replaced Mauro Esiquio. The supporters of Dionisia booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Mcdonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Beturian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Beturian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 69th minute, Arnaldo Beturian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Serafim Eanes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Dionisia's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Serafim Eanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Beturian in the 80th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Sam Campbell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafim Eanes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 93 minutes into the game, USA's Sam Campbell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafim Eanes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. USA played a much better game than Dionisia and deserved their victory. The Dionisia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
