With an all-out effort, Mexico's Ulises Steven threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AFC Koolkerke's Ulises Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 90th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Steven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The AFC Koolkerke players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
